The city education center project is located on the south side of the administrative West Road, adjacent to the municipal administrative center and radio and Television Center, covering an area of 38 Mu and a construction area of 43000 square meters. At the beginning of the design, the Municipal Education Bureau defined the function of the education center as "four centers and three bases", namely: education, teaching, research and evaluation center, education informatization and teaching resource management center, examination management service center, and student funding management Management center, training base for education and management cadres and teachers, academic education and distance education base, and social oriented continuing education base for cadres and workers. After the completion of the project, it will thoroughly solve the problem of relatively scattered subordinate units of the Municipal Education Bureau, promote teacher training and educational research, promote the development of education connotation, and reduce the cost of education management.

市教育中心于2012年12月5日开工，2014年6月17日正式交付使用，现已成为行政大道的地标工程。截至目前，工程已获得省级文明工地、优质主体工程、科技绿色示范工程等三项殊荣。目前，宝鸡教育学院、陕西电大宝鸡分校、市教育局教研室、宝鸡小学教师培训中心4家单位已经正式搬入市教育中心。
